Honestly, I am a better person when I am tan. Anyone with me on that?
I have not found a self-tanner that did not smell like the typical self-tanner immediately or leave me looking orange and splotchy. Until now!
Isle of Paradise smells like cucumber aloe water when you are applying it! It is amazing. It is also clear which means there is no residue that comes off on your clothes or sheets.
(full disclosure: Isle of Paradise does end up smelling like the typical tanner, however, I only leave it on for about 6-8 hours before that happens and still get the great tan effects!)
My Routine:
1. Shower and exfoliate. I use the exfoliator that comes in the three pack self-tanner kit from amazon. It works amazing and leaves my skin feeling so smooth. 2. Clean your face with a cleansing wipe and let it dry while you work on the rest of your body 3. Place about 1 1/2 tbsp lotion on body mitt. Top with 2 drops of self tanning drops. 4. Start at your shins and work upwards in a circular motion avoiding your feet and knees. Once you have gotten your entire leg, then use the "left overs" for your knees and feet (feet last). Continue this for the rest of your body. (see below how I section my body). When applying to your arms, avoid your hands until the very end. Use the "left overs" for each hand. 5. For your face- apply face moisturizer to mitt and top with 2 drops of self-tanning drops. Work in a circular motion over your face and ears (avoiding eyes). 6. Let dry before you put on clothing. 7. Wash your hands 8. Leave lotion on for 6-8 hours before showering. In 3 days, apply the self-tanning butter to keep your tan looking fresh! *Notes: You can use any moisturizing lotion or the self-tanning butter with the drops. Add more drops for a darker tan.
Sectioning out your body:
1. Legs, knees, feet (reapply lotion and drops to mitt for each leg) 2. Stomach and lower back 3. Chest, neck, upper back 4. Arms (reapply lotion and drops to mitt for each arm) 5. Face and ears
