This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed below are my own. Ever since I had my daughter, getting my pre-baby body back has not been easy, especially as a stay at home Mom. Between trying diet after diet, skipping meals, and eating as unhealthy as ever, I am ready to take the reigns and make some true changes. That is when I decided to jump at the opportunity to receive an advanced copy of “Always Eat After 7pm” by Joel Marion. Follow along, because over the next four weeks, I am going to share my experiences of the book, diet, and all of the benefits it has to offer! With a program that is simple to follow and based on science, Always Eat After 7pm provides a solid foundation to help you reach your weight goals, and keep the weight off, while breaking all of the rules! Let’s do this! Our biggest issue in our household when it comes to eating is that we eat dinner at 4pm when my husband gets home from work. By 9pm, WE ARE STARVING, but you are not supposed to eat late at night though, right? Wrong. What really stuck out to me was this: “Research shows that the average person’s metabolic rate is no different during sleep than during the day. In short, your metabolism doesn’t slow down at night. Nor does your body store fat at the end of the day. Whether it’s 8 am or 8 pm, you use food for energy the same way.” Did I also mention that when Joel tested this himself, he lost 12 pounds in the first 2 weeks, and 46 pounds after 16 weeks?! SIGN ME UP! Feeling good about myself after baby and having more energy is most important for my personal goals. I am so excited to start this new journey, and I will post an update next week! For now, check out this introductory video about Joel and how/why he wrote Always Eat After 7pm! Honestly, I am a better person when I am tan. Anyone with me on that?
I have not found a self-tanner that did not smell like the typical self-tanner immediately or leave me looking orange and splotchy. Until now!
Isle of Paradise smells like cucumber aloe water when you are applying it! It is amazing. It is also clear which means there is no residue that comes off on your clothes or sheets.
(full disclosure: Isle of Paradise does end up smelling like the typical tanner, however, I only leave it on for about 6-8 hours before that happens and still get the great tan effects!)
My Routine:
1. Shower and exfoliate. I use the exfoliator that comes in the three pack self-tanner kit from amazon. It works amazing and leaves my skin feeling so smooth. 2. Clean your face with a cleansing wipe and let it dry while you work on the rest of your body 3. Place about 1 1/2 tbsp lotion on body mitt. Top with 2 drops of self tanning drops. 4. Start at your shins and work upwards in a circular motion avoiding your feet and knees. Once you have gotten your entire leg, then use the "left overs" for your knees and feet (feet last). Continue this for the rest of your body. (see below how I section my body). When applying to your arms, avoid your hands until the very end. Use the "left overs" for each hand. 5. For your face- apply face moisturizer to mitt and top with 2 drops of self-tanning drops. Work in a circular motion over your face and ears (avoiding eyes). 6. Let dry before you put on clothing. 7. Wash your hands 8. Leave lotion on for 6-8 hours before showering. In 3 days, apply the self-tanning butter to keep your tan looking fresh! *Notes: You can use any moisturizing lotion or the self-tanning butter with the drops. Add more drops for a darker tan.
Sectioning out your body:
1. Legs, knees, feet (reapply lotion and drops to mitt for each leg) 2. Stomach and lower back 3. Chest, neck, upper back 4. Arms (reapply lotion and drops to mitt for each arm) 5. Face and ears 5/7/2020 0 Comments The Container Store Sale |
